The Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball fell behind early and dropped a 62-46 contest at Southeastern (Iowa) on Monday night.
Key Moment
The Chargers (2-2) scored the opening basket of the game on a 3-pointer from Hailey Lovetinsky (Overland Park, Kan./Spring Hill), but the Blackhawks (4-2) rattled off the next 11 straight and didn’t look back. Southeastern led 15-5 after a quarter and 29-14 at halftime.
Sandburg Star of the Game
Freshman forward Yvonne Mixon (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) was the only Charger to reach double figures, scoring 10 points on 3-for-8 shooting. Mixon also had five rebounds.

For the Blackhawks
Andreisha Waller scored a game-high 20 on 8-of-13 shooting, grabbed nine rebounds, handed out seven assists and picked up five steals.
